Hello my friends, and Happy Sunday! (I know, I usually post on Fridays, but this week got away from me somehow and here I am a couple days late. Oopsie!)
I have been super busy over here at Straight Hooked Headquarters, and I have a few more patterns to release before the year is over. On top of pattern writing, I am working on a couple of collaboration projects as well as some new designs for January. And I just took on a really special commission project because I am a crazy person and sleep is overrated.

The Polar Rush Beanie is now here, and is a super fun and quick hat to make. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky (5 weight) yarn in 2 colors and a 6mm hook to make this beautiful hat that works up in about an hour. The Polar Rush Beanie utilizes my signature Dolphin Stitch to create the gorgeous texture.

What I love about this pattern is that by using the bigger yarn and hook, the project goes quickly and gives you a sense of accomplishment that you can complete an entire hat from start to finish before your Christmas movie is over. So if you need a last- minute gift idea for your sister-in-law, teenage niece, or even that really nice lady at your favorite coffee shop, this is going to be PERFECT!
