This week though, I am so excited to introduce you to my friend Angela from SASS! We met through the Crochetpreneur Business Academy and have been encouraging one another for over a year as we grow our businesses. I was totally shocked when she mentioned her grandbaby one day, because she so does not look old enough for grandkids! (I honestly thought she was younger than me for months into our friendship)
The great thing about this cold snap is that it is finally getting a fall-vibe around here. I lit my Pumpkin Woods scented candle this morning and am thinking of making a nice butternut squash later this evening. You know what else is great about fall? All of the cute fashions you can make using only yarn and hooks! I have gathered up a whole bunch of fabulous fall fashion crochet patterns to share with you this month. Guess what- its another Free Pattern Friday! This month has flown by (which is crazy since July was 6 years long), and I've still managed to put out three patterns. How this happened I am not quite sure, but it did. Earlier in the month, the Friendship Prayer Shawl was published, and last week I released the Kenzie Blanket which has quickly become my most popular pattern to date! To finish off this awesome month, I have decided to treat you to a freebie- the Berry Fun Beret. I had so much fun designing this one, and I am sure you will have fun making it!
When I finished designing the original Kenzie Blanket (the preemie size), I was astounded at how tiny it is. And this little blanket would have been more than large enough for her mom to swaddle her in. The blanket itself is 22"x24", which is just a little bit bigger than lovey-sized. Kenzie's story is nothing short of a miracle, and there are so many more wonderful stories of preemie babies. This one just happens to be the closest to my heart.
I love the crochet business owner community; nobody is a competitor which is super strange in the business world. We all encourage one another and help each others' businesses grow through collaboration and encouragement. It always surprises me how we can all come together and celebrate each other's successes. And it is so much fun making new friends from all over the world! This month, I want to introduce you to my friend Emma, who is on the complete opposite side of the globe from me in Australia!
