I wanted to design a cute cowl that will not only keep your neck warm when that chilly fall or winter wind picks up, but will also look stylish and garner you a ton of compliments! This cowl is made in the round, with easy row repeats. You can easily adjust the length and width to make it exactly the size you want. I used less than one cake of Ferris Wheel, but you can use any worsted weight yarn you like.
Today is Free Pattern Friday! For this project, you can of course use any worsted weight yarn you choose, but I highly recommend that you try some ALC hand-dyed Superwash Merino Wool from Avery Lane Creations. My friend Nicky, the owner, sent me a hank of her gorgeous yarn and I absolutely fell in love.
This is a very special Friday, because today I am introducing my new series of interviews with my crochet friends. Every month, I will be featuring a different crocheter so you can get to know some new friends too! Honestly, one of my most favorite aspects of being in the crochet business is the community. I have never worked in an industry where there are no competitors, only encouragers.

You can choose any sport weight yarn you like, grab your favorite 5mm hook, and get going on creating yourself the perfect summer shawl!
