Hello friends! It probably seems like I re-launched the Hooked In series and then promptly forgot about it, but I didn’t! I just had a super rough month. (Who knew the shortest month of the year could feel so long?) But things are calming down a bit here at Straight Hooked Headquarters, and I am thrilled to introduce you to another one of my friends today!
(ad disclosure: I am a blogger. I allow ads on my site as well as affiliate links. If you click an ad, I may receive some small compensation. If you’re a curious person like I am, you can read my post from last week to get the dirt on why this month was rough. Ruby Sue got her vaccines yesterday, so she’s snuggled up in my lap for a Momma Nap while I am typing today’s post!
I am delighted to have my friend Eventine share a bit more about her and her business with you today, so let’s get to it!
Welcome to Straight Hooked, Eventine! What is the name of your business, and where can we find you?
I am Victorious Creations. You can find me below:
Facebook Group – Crocheting Super Moms
How long have you been a crocheter?
Since I was 10. That’s going on 29 years now.
What made you decide to take the leap and start hooking for money?
God told me to. Simply that. He told me to start a business from scratch, with crocheting. That conversation was a few years before the craft fairs.
What inspires you?
My kids. And anything that just seems fun.
What is your biggest struggle with your crochet business?
Figuring out how all the pieces come smoothly together. Marketing and social media. I’m getting there, it’s another adventure.
Why is crochet important to you?
Designing brings me to life. I love creating.I love the process of taking an idea and bringing it into reality.
What is your signature design?
I don’t have many published yet. There one in the works that I would LOVE to use for this answer. 😀 But in the meantime I’ll highlight my Toy Crab.
What is your favorite yarn to work with?
Worsted weight in bright colors.
What kind of hooks do you prefer?
I haven’t yet tried anything but the standard metal hooks.
How are you changing the world with your crochet?
Empowering others. Turning “Adventurous” into a skill level~ meaning that you don’t have to be limited. If you see something that you want to accomplish. Then you can be empowered to go farther and do more. Once things are broken down into simple steps to follow. Now we are crocheting adventures one stitch at a time.
If you could do anything without the constraints of time and money, what would it be?
Travel as we wanted to. Just for the fun of exploring.
What is your favorite crocheting snack and beverage?
Peanut clusters and something hot to drink. Coffee or tea.
What are your hobbies? (Other than crocheting, of course!)
Going for long walks, reading, doing things with my husband and our kids.
Where do you love to crochet?
My craft room
What do you like to watch (aka have on in the background) while you are crocheting?
I’ll listen to music or trainings.
Tell me about the exciting things you have coming up in your business:
I’ll be releasing some Hanging Wall Vases in February😍 I thing these are amazing!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my barrage of questions, Eventine! I love your designs and can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
