Pattern Release: the Tic Tac Toasty Shawl

I used just about 2 balls of Lion Brand Mandala in the Wizard colorway for my Tic Tac Toasty Shawl design sample. I have been holding on to that yarn for 2 or 3 years, because nothing I was designing was "right' for that colorway. I sure am glad that I waited so long to use it, because I am in love with the bright happy colors that match the changing colors outside!

Speedy Scarf- FREE Crochet Pattern

The Speedy Scarf uses just under 1 ball of Lion Brand Mandala yarn and a 6.5mm crochet hook. If you've never used the Triple Stranding Technique, are you in for a treat today! I love this method to convert thin yarn into thicker yarn without needing to hold 3 skeins or partial skeins together. The Speedy Scarf pattern is forever free here on the blog, but if you prefer an ad-free experience with color step-by-step photos, you can choose to purchase the PDF below.

Pattern Release: Harley’s Gambol Prayer Shawl

A few months back, I received an email from a new yarny friend who wanted to tell me that she loves my signature stitch, the Dolphin Stitch, and wanted to crochet a shawl for her best friend's mother but wasn't sure how to go about it. I asked my new friend if I could design a pattern in her friend's memory and if we could share her friend's story, and she agreed! The shape is a long trapezoid, which drapes beautifully off the shoulder. This is a quick project and will make the perfect wrap for summer activities and quick gifts.

Two fun infinity scarves that could not look more different from one another if they tried, yet both made using the same weight of yarn and hook size.

Berry Fun Beret- FREE Crochet Pattern

Guess what- its another Free Pattern Friday! This month has flown by (which is crazy since July was 6 years long), and I've still managed to put out three patterns. How this happened I am not quite sure, but it did. Earlier in the month, the Friendship Prayer Shawl was published, and last week I released the Kenzie Blanket which has quickly become my most popular pattern to date! To finish off this awesome month, I have decided to treat you to a freebie- the Berry Fun Beret. I had so much fun designing this one, and I am sure you will have fun making it!

Pattern Release: the Kenzie Blanket

When I finished designing the original Kenzie Blanket (the preemie size), I was astounded at how tiny it is. And this little blanket would have been more than large enough for her mom to swaddle her in. The blanket itself is 22"x24", which is just a little bit bigger than lovey-sized. Kenzie's story is nothing short of a miracle, and there are so many more wonderful stories of preemie babies. This one just happens to be the closest to my heart.
